This was no surprise as apple has had this event for a number of years, but what was a surprise was that the invite held no key to the tablet release.

Earlier in the year the rumor mills were over working on stories about apple’s tablet, but then as September became closer they all started to say that the tablet was not coming in the event. The new rumors are that the Beetles will finally come to iTunes along with the release of the Beetles Rockband. So what do you think will happen Tablet,Beetles or None of the above ?

The main constant would be the camera, all sources point to the next gen iPod having a camera. This would not be such a big surprise as the iPod touch is a iPhone without the phone, so this would just be bringing the iPod closer to the phone. I am not sure whether I want a camera in my iPod especially if it makes the player thicker, I cannot think of a time were I have my iPod and don’t have my phone so why do I need a camera in both. I think the iPod should just stay the as it was intended, a music player. Do you want a camera in your iPod touch ?

A RIM official when confirming the blackberry headset also let it slip that the watch is on its way. The watch would indicate BBM, SMS, e-mail and incoming phone calls. They have mock up pictures at Blackberry Cool so go over there. Would you buy a Blackberry Watch ?

Is anyone going to buy this device ?

T-mobile here in the uk released an update for the bold o.s the software is available from tmobile.co.uk, this is version 4.6.0.291.

Germany is getting a pink blackberry 8520, although this may be the same as the violet device we have in the uk. Does any one want a pink/purple 8520 ?

But the rumors have arised again that Dell is going to release its phone within a year. The story came up on a number of sites today including: boy genius report and engadget. The device in pictures looks almost like the pre when it is closed, with curved edges and a big screen, it is rumored to run the android operating system. I am a bit sceptical about this so I will believe it when I see it. Do you think you would want a Dell phone or is it a tool device ?

The Rodgers’ chart shows a 8gb version in it’s chart. This wouldn’t be such a suprise it has been rumored for a while that the iPhone 3G is going to be replaced with a cheaper iPhone 3GS. The Boy Genius Report has proof that the phone is headed to at&t some time soon. Although no time was suggested I would expect it to be released in Q4. This move was not realy a suprise since at&t currently has the Bold. With so many people not liking at&t will this kill the phone ?

The new software is rumored to have Blu-Ray report and the ability to organise iPhone and iPod touch applications. This would suggest that a new Mac could possible come out with a Blu-Ray player built in. I am personally a bit sceptical, as if I can watch my Blu-Ray discs on my mac I will not buy a iTunes HD movie as well. Do you think this will effect iTunes HD sales ?

I personally prefer the trackball solely because of the feel and texture of rolling, many people seem to say that when the sensitivity is cranked up on the curve 8520 it acts just like a trackball. I personally would disagree I think that when I have used trackpads it just doesn’t have the feel I crave from a trackball.
